16 TUM Students Nabbed In A house Party At KC During Curfew Hours

Sixteen students from the Technical University of Mombasa were arrested on Friday night at a house party in Kaa Chonjo (KC). According to Gerald who reported to Mnews yesterday night, the arrested students included boys and girls. They were 1st years and 2nd years, 10 girls and 6 boys.

Speaking to Mnews, a police officer from Makupa Police station in Mombasa said that they nabbed the students past curfew hours while on their way to their residence from a house party. Reports claim that there were no drugs that were found but the 16 disobeyed curfew orders.

The suspects called upon TUMSA executives to help them out from police custody.

There have been a number of insecurity cases within the University for the last 2 weeks. One first-year student was rapped, 3 days after, another 2 first-year girls narrowly escaped kidnappers. The executive has called a meeting with first years which will take place today, Saturday 20th February 2021 at the University as from 4 pm at the upper pitch.
