80-Year-Old BBI Task Force Chairman Dies

Garissa Sanator Usuf Haji is reportedly dead. According to sources, Haji, Died at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi on 15th, February 2021.

Reports from the family states that the Senator has been sick since last year when he was rushed in Turkey for further medication. Haji was then discharged and came back to the country.

In February, the Senator fell sick again which forced the family to rush him to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for medication. He took his last breath on Monday, 15th morning.

Haji was the Chairman of the BBI task force in the year 2020 when the Building Bridges Initiative final report was drafted.

According to his profile he was the Minister of Defence of Kenya from 2008 to 2013, and briefly served as its acting Minister of Internal Security and Provincial Affairs in 2012. He has served in the Senate of Kenya since 2013.

Haji Died at the age of 80.
