Drama As UEC Servers Fails To Administer Online Election At TUM

The along waited voting day at Technical University of Mombasa finally arrived. All registered voters were ready for voting, bundles loaded, phones, tablets and laptops charged. Emails refreshed, offline phone numbers used to register for online voting were all on and up to date ready for voting.

As it has been a norm for any election, voting process had been scheduled to take effect as at 8:00am. As at 8am, the UEC had not informed voters about the voting procedure, an update from one of the known TUM bloggers claims that voting process had been pushed to 9am. All voters complied and waited for the exact time. Unfortunately, there was no notification to inform any of the voters about the voting process and update, all campaign groups breath fire as voters wtre anxious about the new voting system.

To keep voters updated, Mnews tried to contact the UEC but the chairman was too reluctant to receive the call, all the Chairman of the UEC could do was to hang up the call. Information from a very close source to mnews revealed that the servers failed therefore voting process was delayed.

Mnews will still follow up to bring you updated about the planned elections.
