Euro 2020 match day reopening, 24 European Nations to contest

The opening match day of the UEFA European championship is today after a very long time characterized with postponement due to the surge in covid cases worldwide. The kick off game will see Turkey battling it out with Italy as from 10pm East African Time .

TThe competition involves twenty four national teams divided into six groups made of four teams each. The competitions have also been set up in different cities by it’s organizers so as to avoid the spread of covid-19 which may be the case with overcrowded multitude.

The competition will also allow the fans in but not in all the stadium .One of the stadia that will allow an approximate 14000 fans is the Allianza Arena based in Munich(Germany),the home ground to Bayern Munich. The defending champion of this competition is Portugal having won in 2016 .So far, the nations with the most trophies are Germany and Spain each winning it three times.

The competition is considered to be a tough one by most of the sports analysts. This is evident through the preparation and individual players the nations have . So let’s come out and support our favourite teams in the Euros
