Finally, TUM First Years Joins University After A Long Wait, Continuing Students Leaves For Long Holiday

Technical University of Mombasa opened gates wide for all first years who were to join at the university in September 2020. The reopening dates were postponed from time to time following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

According to reports from a close source at the University, about 3000+ undergraduates and 2500+ diploma and certificate students reported at the varsity between Monday 4th and Friday 8th January 2021. This is the first time for the university to admit such a huge number of students at the university in the month of January.

According to the memo issued by the university last month, all students who learned online will be siting for their end of semester exams as from January 18th, 2021. Those who didn’t interact with online learning will be forced to start their semester afresh. Students who will do their end semester exams on 18th January will be given a break of 2 weeks before they commence their 2nd semester.

Continuing students on the other hand are in their long holiday. Some of the students are on industrial attachment which is mandatory as per the academic policy at the university.
