Maweni area in Mombasa brought to a standstill by Gumzo na Shahbal Initiative during Hon. Shahbal’s visit

Hon. Suleiman Shahbal’s Initiative, Gumzo Na Shahbal brought Maweni, in Mombasa to a standstill when the Mombasa Gubernatorial aspirant stormed the area. The Initiative which is aimed at listening to the people’s wants and demands in Mombasa County saw thousands of residents airing their views to the aspiring Governor and a renown Businessman in the 001 COUNTY.

Hon. Shahbal was warmly welcomed in the area with thousands of residents chanting his name as they dance to the tune. In his visit to the area, Shahbal was accompanied by the Director of the Political Affairs at the Office of the Governor Mombasa County Hon. Major Idris Abdirahman.

Suleiman Shahbal has been visiting wards after Wards across the constituencies in Mombasa County to listen to the residents, what they want to be done as well as what they want to be put in place whenever he ascends to power in after 2022 general elections.

So far, the aspiring Governor has been able to create Job opportunities for youths and the non youths in the county. His Buxton Point project has employed a number of youths in Mombasa County.

In the last few months, Hon. Shahbal championed for the reopening of Mama Ngina water fonts which saw hundreds of residents reclaiming back their hustles which earn them a living. Speking to Mnews Kenya, one of the Maweni residents said that Hon. Shahbal is the only aspiring Governor in the county who has gone further to engage residents in the county as far as their demands and needs are concerned.

Shahbal will be visiting other areas and wards such as Tudor, Majengo, Mjambere among others in the coming days to give an ear to the residents.
