One person is reportedly dead after taking COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine in Kenya. The incident which occurred in Uasin Gishu county has forced the The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) to determine the cause of death.
According to Dr. Dr. Peter Ikamati, Deputy Director, PER, at the PPB, miscarriage might be the cause and not the vaccine. The Deputy Director said that the Board will find out and give a report in less that 24 hours on this suspicious matter.
According to the reports from the ministry of heath as released on Tuesday, over 370,000 people have been vaccinated.
Kenyans have been urged to take the vaccine for preventive measures against the novel coronavirus which has brought about a third wave in the country.
