First year students who joined Technical University of Mombasa in January 2021 are set to start their end of semester exams on 29th March 2021. The scheduled exams will end on 9th April 2021 as per deliberations of special senate meeting that took place on 29th January 2021 when the board was approving the academic calendar.
According to a memo issued by the Registrar Academic Affairs on 24th March 2021, all the rules and regulations of the TUM academic policy 2019 as reviewed in the revised students handbook shall apply. The registrar also noted that TUM financial management policy of 2019 shall also apply when the said students will begin their exams.
According to Dr. Paul Njihia, only students who have cleared their semester fees shall be allowed to sit for the exams. The registrar has also asked the candidates to make sure that they have financial statements/fee statements before they enter their exam rooms.
Other continuing students in their second semesters will also be sitting for their exams in the stipulated period. The office of the registrar has asked those in their final years to submit their projects before sitting for the examinations.
