Technical University o Mombasa is set to begin the 2020/21 academic year for all continuing students. According to the official memo released by the varsity to all students, the first semester of the new academic year will begin on 12th April 2020.
The first semester will run from April to July the students in the session shall break for two weeks before they commence the second semester in August.
As per the University’s new academic policy which is set to take effect this academic year, students are required to pay a certain amount of fees at the beginning of the semester.
KUCCPS students who are sponsored by the government are required to pay full fees. Diploma students and certificate students are required to pay 50% of the fees before they are allowed to commence the semester.
According to information shared to Mnews, the varsity has already opened the portal for students to register their units for online learning. Most of the students are unable to register their units due to the NEW ACADEMIC POLICY.
According to COD Electrical department, only students who have paid the required amount of fees will be able to register the units. The COD said that departments will carry out an audit to determine those who had registered without meeting the policy requirements. Such students will be required to repeat the registration process after meeting the requirements.
